Teaching and Learning CoLab 2024

This session will introduce the NEW Equity Toolkit, developed through a CDE/WestEd partnership and designed to support educators to understand self, understand others, and understand community context to notice things we may not have noticed before. This work will support increased intentionality in effectively serving all students, families, and staff, being responsive to individual and group identities defined by race, ethnicity, socioeconomics, language, religion, sexual orientation, gender, and ability. Resources for preparing teachers and leaders to examine and impact mindsets, policies, practices that will support culturally responsive instruction will be highlighted.
